According to rapper 6ix9ine, Justin Bieber and Ariana Grande are said to have not legally brought their new song "Stuck With U" to number one on the US charts. In a video, he also reproaches the "Billboard" magazine.

Popstar Ariana Grande and singer Justin Bieber defend themselves against allegations that they cheated their song "Stuck With U" at number 1 on the US charts. "Anyone who knows me or has followed me for a while knows that numbers are not the driving force behind everything I do," wrote Grande in a longer statement on Instagram.

In a video, US rapper 6ix9ine also accused the two on Instagram of making around 60,000 sales of their new CD themselves with six credit cards. So the song, the proceeds of which are to be donated to coronavirus helpers, has reached number one, the rapper claimed.

"Stuck With U" distributes "Gooba"
He accused the magazine "Billboard", which publishes the US charts, of fraud and claims that one can buy number one titles there. Because of the jump in "Stuck With U", his own new song "Gooba" had slipped to third place. At the annual Billboard Music Awards, similar to Echo, major music prizes are awarded. The winners are determined based on their sales figures.

Both Bieber and Grande emphasized in their comments that no more than four records of the same type could be bought per credit card purchase. Grande wrote: "My fans bought the song. Justin's fans bought the song. Our fans bought it (and never more than four, as the rules say)."

6ix9ine was sentenced to two years in prison in December 2019 after 13 months in custody for illegal possession of weapons and involvement in an armed robbery. After 20 months, the US authorities released him from prison for his asthma in the wake of the corona pandemic. The rest of the detention is now under house arrest with a GPS tracker.
